Travel Tips – Tenerife Island Spain March 2023

We arrived at La Laguna north airport in the morning and headed to visit Santa Cruz town, San Andres and Playa de las Teresitas beach. We enjoyed lunch at Aguita Salada Chiringuito bar and had a very good burger and smoothie.

After visiting San Andres we headed to Makika & Co bakery cafe in La Laguna town. We were recommended to visit this cafe by our good friends Rick y Mavi (owner is a cousin of Mavi). The establishment and decor is lovely, and the banana cake with a chocolate milkshake was delicious. Head to Makika & Co https://goo.gl/maps/QVM3jjUkHNjXURmP6

Laura and I stayed in Candelaria for its location with easy access to the north airport and south beaches.

We recommend dinner at Cofradia Pescadores seafood restaurant in Candelaria. Nothing flash from the outside, however very good seafood restaurant and fast service. We had la cofradia prawn salad, salpicon de pulpo, scallops, and fried dogfish. Generous portions and good service. Head to Cofradia Pescadores https://goo.gl/maps/X1FHUXqysSxYQ4F16

We visited Costa Adege a great spot for a Sunday drive. We were pleased to get free Sunday underground parking in the Centro Comercial The Duke Shops. We had a nice time and drink (no food served) at The Irish Anchor bar. After we had a nice lunch at Yum Yum Thai restaurant at the far end of the Irish bar. We decided not to take the cable car as tickets sold out fast and its expensive. Many friends told us its not worth it and taking the car it much better. We drove from direction South airport heading to Ethnographic Museum Juan Évora, stopping to check out the massive pine tree Pino Gordo. Well worth it and a very scenic drive. Head to Juan Évora https://goo.gl/maps/jjAJwdi4Gj19PJpS8 and you can also hike from Juan Évora for great views of Mt Telde.

For our last day we headed north to check out the west coast. Checking out the amazing natural pools Piscina Natural in Mesa del Mar, near Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Well worth the windy drive down to the pools (take lunch with you).
