Plaza Cruz Herrera will be the hub of the activities, starting with a barrilada (beer barrel event) offered by Cruzcampo at 7:00 p.m. in the event marquee, followed by a concert by the band Dr. No at 8:00 p.m.

The programme continues on Friday 23 May with a Coldplay tribute performed by Parachutes.

On Saturday 24 May, the day will be especially eventful with the traditional tuna cutting demonstration (ronqueo) in Plaza Fariñas in the morning, and family activities from 5:00 p.m., in collaboration with the local artisans’ association.

The evening will conclude with a concert by the local band Focona Sound at 7:00 p.m. and a headline performance by David Barrull at 8:00 p.m.

The event will close on 25 May, with a day dedicated to children.

From 12:00 p.m., Plaza Fariñas will be transformed into a free water park with inflatables, workshops, and children’s entertainment, including an appearance by Mucca, the mascot of Gulus ice cream parlour. From 5:00 p.m., the show ‘Loco Bingo’ will fill the afternoon with music, surprises, and prizes, culminating in the award ceremony for the participating establishments and raffle winners.

Tuna tapas on the route will be priced at €4.50. By collecting five stamps on the tapaporte (tapas passport) from different venues, participants can enter to win prizes such as gastronomic vouchers and other gifts, and can also vote for their favourite tapa in the popular vote category. The professional jury will include renowned chefs Mikel Landa Aramburu and Cristina Gutiérrez, alongside artist María Villalón.

The 5th Red Tuna Route of Almadraba is an initiative organised by ALAHO (Linense Association of Hospitality Self-Employed Workers), in collaboration with La Línea City Council and the Provincial Council of Cádiz, and is sponsored by Coca Cola, Cruzcampo, García Carrión, and Herpac.

History of La Línea: The history of La Línea de la Concepción, a town with a rich and multifaceted past, originates in the context of the sieges of Gibraltar. The city began as a temporary camp set up to supply the population near the fortifications laid out for the siege of Gibraltar. Its origins are closely tied to the ongoing monitoring of Gibraltar, especially during the sieges of 1727 and 1779–1783.
