La Ruta del Atun de La Linea is one of the best events of the year not to miss down south. From 3 to 7 June, another edition of the Red Almadraba Tuna Route arrives in La LÃnea de la Concepción.
A five-day event where you can enjoy competing tapas made with the finest tuna from our coasts and vote for your favourites to help crown the winners. 25-30 participating establishments and a schedule full of great activities for the whole family.

The 6th La Ruta del Atun De La Linea will take place from 3 to 7 June 2026, featuring dozens of gastronomic creations in bars and restaurants throughout the city.
La LÃnea de la Concepción will once again become the gastronomic epicentre of the region with the arrival of this highly anticipated event, organised by the La LÃnea Hospitality Association. Over the years, the route has established itself as one of the standout culinary events of the year, bringing together numerous local venues around one exceptional product: almadraba bluefin tuna.
Five days of tapas and flavour discovery.
Throughout the five-day event, bars and restaurants will present a wide variety of dishes inspired by almadraba bluefin tuna, ranging from traditional recipes to innovative culinary creations.
The route offers the perfect opportunity to experience the city through its cuisine, discover new flavours, and support the local hospitality sector at the same time.

The event stands out for the diversity of dishes on offer, with tuna reimagined in many different forms, including tartares, stews, creative tapas, and classic preparations.
Each dish showcases the exceptional quality of one of the Cádiz coast’s most iconic products, prepared using techniques that blend culinary tradition with modern innovation.

Beyond its gastronomic appeal, the route also aims to boost the local economy and highlight the talent and creativity of hospitality professionals across the region.
La Ruta del Atun de La Linea Save the date!
La Ruta del Atún de La LÃnea (The Tuna Route of La LÃnea de la Concepción) begins Wednesday 3 June, with a total of 27 participating restaurants and hospitality establishments.
Plaza Cruz Herrera will be the hub of the activities, starting with a barrilada (beer barrel event) offered by Cruzcampo at 7:00 p.m. in the event marquee, followed by a concert at 8:00 p.m. The programme continues on Friday with a concert.
On Saturday, the day will be especially eventful with the traditional tuna cutting demonstration (ronqueo) in Plaza Fariñas in the morning, and family activities from 5:00 p.m., in collaboration with the local artisans’ association. The evening will conclude with a concert by the local band at 7:00 p.m. and a headline performance at 8:00 p.m.
The event will close on Sunday, with a day dedicated to children. From 12:00 p.m., Plaza Fariñas will be transformed into a free water park with inflatables, workshops, and children’s entertainment, including an appearance by Mucca, the mascot of Gulus ice cream parlour.
From 5:00 p.m., the show ‘Loco Bingo’ will fill the afternoon with music, surprises, and prizes, culminating in the award ceremony for the participating establishments and raffle winners.
Tuna tapas on the route will be priced at €4.50. By collecting five stamps on the tapaporte (tapas passport) from different venues, participants can enter to win prizes such as gastronomic vouchers and other gifts, and can also vote for their favourite tapa in the popular vote category. The professional jury will include renowned chefs Mikel Landa Aramburu and Cristina Gutiérrez, alongside artist MarÃa Villalón.
The 6th Red Tuna Route of Almadraba is an initiative organised by ALAHO (Linense Association of Hospitality Self-Employed Workers), in collaboration with La LÃnea City Council and the Provincial Council of Cádiz, and is sponsored by Coca Cola, Cruzcampo, GarcÃa Carrión, and Herpac.

History of La LÃnea: The history of La LÃnea de la Concepción, a town with a rich and multifaceted past, originates in the context of the sieges of Gibraltar. The city began as a temporary camp set up to supply the population near the fortifications laid out for the siege of Gibraltar. Its origins are closely tied to the ongoing monitoring of Gibraltar, especially during the sieges of 1727 and 1779–1783.
