Rugby Match France Vs. World XV coached by Ian Foster in Bilbao

Read about France vs World XV the next big match organised by Kiwihouse! International rugby makes its return to Bilbao-Bizkaia with a high-octane clash between France and the World XV.

On June 22, 2024, the French team, known as Les Bleus, will take the field at the San Mamés Stadium against a “World XV” team comprising many high-profile global international stars from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres.

Leading the World XV team will be the former All Blacks head coach, Ian Foster, supported by Frenchman Patrice Collazo, the head coach of the Top 14 team Montpellier, who has previously coached La Rochelle, Toulon, and Brive.

Rugby Match France vs World XV players confirmed so far

Maxime Machenaud (Bayonne and France), Camille Lopez (Bayonne and France), Tevita Tatafu (Bayonne and Tonga), Semi Radradra (Lyon and Fiji), Mako Vunipola (Saracens and England), Billy Vunipola (Saracens and England), are already confirmed to play in the World XV squad.

France is set to face off against the World XV in Spain ahead of their upcoming tour of Argentina and South America. The tour will see France playing two tests against Argentina and one against Uruguay.

This fixture is scheduled for June 22 at the San Mamés stadium in the northern Spanish port city. It coincides with the Top 14 semi-finals, during which many of France’s top players will be in action.

San Mamés (also known as Nuevo San Mamés or San Mames Barria) is an all-seater football stadium in Rafael Moreno Pitxitxi Kalea, Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. Inaugurated on 16 September 2013, the stadium replaced the “old” San Mamés as the home of Athletic Bilbao. With a capacity of 53,331 seats, San Mamés is the 7th-largest stadium in Spain and the largest in the Basque Country.
